General Grading Standards (Quality from High to Low)

Superior (AA): No obvious defects, continuous and symmetrical grain, and uniform color. Only very slight variations in natural grain are permitted, with no scars, wormholes, cracks, color spots, or repair marks. Mostly used for high-end furniture and fine decorative surfaces.
Level A: Minor defects are present, with a generally continuous grain. Very small loose knots ≤ 3mm in diameter are permitted (without affecting the structure). No cracks or decay, minimal color deviation, and inconspicuous repair marks. Suitable for mid- to high-end decorative and custom furniture.
Level B: Visible natural defects may be present, with average grain integrity. Minor medium-sized scars, slight color variations, fine cracks, or localized repairs are permitted. Defects are not concentrated and do not affect the overall appearance. Commonly used for ordinary furniture and cabinet veneers.
Level C: More defects are present, with a complex grain. Scars, wormholes, color variations, and cracks are more pronounced, and repair marks are visible. Mainly used for concealed areas, industrial packaging, or applications with minimal aesthetic requirements.
